Staff Design Quality Engineer (Mechanical)

Responsibilities
- Partner with R&D to ensure mechanical designs meet quality and manufacturability requirements
- Lead risk management activities including developing plans, conducting reviews, and verifying control effectiveness
- Support process control implementation with operations and suppliers for mechanical components
- Participate in design reviews and track mitigation of risks across development phases
- Lead design validation activities including human factors evaluation and performance assessment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- 4+ years experience in quality, manufacturing, new product development, or engineering
- Medical device or manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 standards
- Proficiency with advanced quality tools including FMEA, GD&T, and tolerance analysis
- Data analysis and statistical process control experience
- Six Sigma or ASQ CSQE certification preferred
Compensation: $89,300 - $148,800 USD Annual
