As a Diesel Mechanic/Technician, you will specialize in servicing heavy-duty trucks within a small maintenance team of 2-5 technicians. Your expertise will focus on diesel engine repair, system diagnostics, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance. You will occasionally use electronic diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and calibrate equipment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform diesel engine repair and diagnostics on heavy-duty trucks
- Conduct preventive maintenance and system testing to ensure reliability
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic methods
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Maintain tools and calibrate equipment as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in diesel mechanics
- Knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
