Medical Assistant

Job Summary:

This is a temp-to-hire Medical Assistant position within an Electrophysiology Cardiology clinic. The role involves both clinical and administrative tasks, including refills, chart prep, inbasket help, EKG, heart monitor placement, and post-op calls. There may be travel to satellite clinics. Candidates must be open to permanent relocation to Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities:

- Refills

- Post Op Calls
- Travel to satellite clinics regularly (Seattle primary, but travel to Edmonds, Ballard, Redmond, Bellevue)
- Answers unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Performs data entry into electronic medical database systems. Documents patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Performs selected patient registration activities.
- Coordinates equipment/supply needs. Notifies appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Performs any other related duties (e.g., clerical, technical duties) as assigned.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- At least 6 months of experience working as a Medical Assistant
- BLS certification
- EPIC charting experience
- Reliable transportation

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- MA-C certification (MA-R will be considered)
- Cardiology clinic/unit experience

Special Considerations:

- Must be open to permanent relocation to Seattle, WA
- Facility may call off traveler UP TO 1 shift per pay period (every 2 weeks)
- Candidate is expected to have reliable transportation (NOT PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION) and no additional scheduling restrictions.
