Licensed Practical Nurse, Mental Health – Part Time Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse – Mental Health for Northern State Prison, Newark, NJ. Responsibilities Participates in data collection related to patient status and needs. Provides input to Registered Nurse for incorporation into the plan of care by communicating pertinent information. Delivers direct patient care within scope of practice to implement the plan of care. Informs and instructs patients/significant others on health and plan of care. Assists patient/significant other in discharge preparation and home health maintenance. Documents all aspects of patient care. Qualifications Valid registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New Jersey. CPR Certification required. Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation. Minimum six (6) months of experience in an acute hospital setting (preferred). Other Requirements Must be approved by Department of Corrections and adhere to all DOC requirements. First responder capacity to perform CPR for at least 10 minutes.
