The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established LLP that has provided sophisticated tax and advisory services for more than 40 years. The firm primarily serves high-net-worth individuals closely held businesses real estate owners family enterprises and charitable organizations.

What sets this firm apart is its multidisciplinary structure: approximately half of its professionals are accountants and half are attorneys. This creates a highly collaborative environment where complex tax matters are approached from both accounting and legal perspectives.

The firm is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to lead client engagements develop strategic tax solutions and mentor the next generation of tax professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA who enjoys solving complex problems and serving as a trusted advisor to sophisticated clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the preparation review and filing of complex individual and corporate tax returns
• Advise high-net-worth individuals closely held businesses and related entities on complex tax matters
• Develop and implement proactive tax-planning strategies designed to minimize liabilities and support clients long-term financial goals
• Review financial information and supporting documentation for accuracy completeness and tax compliance
• Research federal state and local tax laws to identify planning opportunities and ensure compliance
• Provide clear practical guidance to clients on tax-related decisions and changing regulations
• Manage client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact throughout engagements
• Communicate effectively with clients attorneys taxing authorities and other professional advisors
• Supervise coach and mentor associates while reviewing their work and supporting their professional development
• Help improve internal processes through the effective use of tax and accounting technology

Qualifications

• Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting Finance Taxation or a related field
• Active CPA license required
• At least seven years of progressive experience in individual and corporate taxation
• Strong experience serving high-net-worth individuals and their related entities
• Demonstrated knowledge of complex tax compliance planning and research
• Previous experience managing engagements and reviewing the work of junior professionals
• Strong client-service communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
• Proficiency with professional tax preparation and research software
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
