Junior Associate Attorney

About the Position This is a law clerk to associate attorney position. Pay will be modified once bar passage is received. We are anticipating hiring a candidate who is currently studying for the July 2026 bar exam and targeting a start date in August. The position will begin as a law clerk and transition to an associate attorney role upon bar passage. Candidates must have a strong desire to practice family law, work with private clients, appear in court, and help real people. Ideal candidates desire to grow in their knowledge and practice as attorneys and understand that learning does not end with bar passage—it merely begins there. Actual law firm experience is a must. Participation in legal clinics or having taken and excelled in a matrimonial practice class is also required. Tools and Support A laptop to work from anywhere An assistant and a paralegal to handle mailings and phone calls Flexibility to live life and be an attorney A communications policy that does not allow clients to contact you for 24/7 answers VOIP phones Health, Dental & Vision Insurance paid at 100% cost for the employee Responsibilities Communicate with clients, interview witnesses, and consult legal experts to prepare for trial Prepare initial drafts of various documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses Create legal memoranda outlining research results to help plan the best strategy for court proceedings Conduct legal research to confirm cited legal authority for judges and attorneys Qualifications Willing to take, or have already passed, the state bar exam Great writing skills and effective communication skills for oral arguments At least one year of experience in the legal field Current law school student with a bachelor’s degree or recent law school graduate, or recent law school graduate Exhibit strong work ethic and attention to detail Have passed the MPRE, or have a scheduled date/time to take it Compensation $20-$30 hourly. #J-18808-Ljbffr Your Path Family Law
