IOP Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Becks Woods in Bear, DE. Work Schedule: This is a casual/per diem position; hours will be as needed from Monday–Friday 7:00AM–7:00PM and weekends. Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses. Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program. Three months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications One year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills; written and verbal. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.
