Communications Support Specialist

The Communications Support Specialist is responsible for assisting the communications teams in organizing and executing school outreach, performing administrative tasks, and supporting other divisional programs for the client. Bilingual English/Spanish speaking candidate preferred.

Examples of Essential Functions:

• Monitor school bell times, client youth focused email address, and other information provided by schools; distribute internally to relevant departments.
• Plan and coordinate multilingual community outreach programs and events.
• Promote client information and products including service changes and fare products to community organizations, schools, and community colleges.
• Gather survey information and collect data, as requested.
• Conduct outreach to students, parents, and school staff about transit.
• Support the Government and Community Affairs team on other non-youth related projects as needed.
• Engage with students and their families about client services.

Examples of Essential Duties:

• Facilitate meetings with community and school leaders related to transit services and fare programs.
• Update, distribute, and monitor annual bell time school survey, collect responses, and follow up as necessary.
• Coordinate, plan, and deliver logistics, correspondence and collateral material for outreach events or meetings.
• Maintain youth focused distribution database lists.
• Set up tabling and outreach events, including bringing materials such as flyers, tables, and chairs to events.
• Must be able to carry 50 lbs of materials to and from events.
