TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Abilene, Texas, 79606!

Job Title: Med/Surg Tele RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required; previous travel experience preferred License: Current nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience is preferred Patient ratio experience of 5:1 required Description: Start date within the next 3-5 weeks preferred. The position considers 36 or 48 hours per week. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Daily census on the unit is approximately 10-12 patients with a total of 15 beds. Patient diagnoses primarily include med-surg diagnoses. The unit does accept TIA/CVA patients when appropriate for a 1:5 ratio. The unit does not accept cardiac patients requiring cardiac drips or insulin drips. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The unit utilizes telemetry for patient monitoring. Special equipment on the unit includes Alaris IV pumps and lifting equipment. Clinicians must complete necessary lab items within 72 hours of accepting the offer. Experience with charting systems is preferred, though not required. Clinicians should avoid anything that could result in a positive drug screen upon arrival. Modules are non-billable and typically range from 6-8 hours during the onboarding process. Completion of required documentation needs to be planed in advance.
