Paralegal

JOB TITLE: Paralegal, Employment and Litigation LOCATION: Miami About the Role & Team The Legal Department at TelevisaUnivision seeks a Paralegal to join our team. The role provides day‑to‑day support to the Global Employment and U.S. Litigation teams, assisting with employment‑related legal matters across multiple jurisdictions and supporting all phases of U.S. litigation. Responsibilities include managing litigation filings, deadlines, case tracking, and maintaining case management systems; coordinating responses to subpoenas, discovery requests, and agency inquiries; and supporting internal investigations and risk mitigation initiatives. Reporting The position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Labor, Employment and Litigation. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with internal departments to gather information for employment, IP, and litigation matters. Draft subpoena and production responses under attorney supervision. Maintain document management systems and case trackers, including litigation logs and deadlines. Support contract‑related disputes and coordinate stakeholders on relevant agreements. Draft and manage correspondence for DMCA takedown notices and ensure timely compliance. Manage copyright claims, gather information, and preserve documents as required. Draft litigation hold notices and monitor preservation compliance. Assist with internal investigations and related discovery collection, organization, and review. Perform other paralegal functions focusing on employment, IP/copyright, streaming issues, and general business litigation support. Qualifications 5–7 years of paralegal experience in a law firm and/or in‑house environment, supporting employment, intellectual property (including copyright), and business litigation. Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification. Notary public qualification a plus. Experience managing litigation matters, tracking deadlines, filings, discovery, and case status across multiple matters. Experience managing employment agreements, drafting support, and tracking agreement lifecycles. Exceptional communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and outside counsel. Strong organizational skills, critical attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple projects under deadline. Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information. Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken). Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, OneNote, Teams, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat; experience with eDiscovery platforms and document management systems preferred. Experience handling copyright claims, DMCA takedown processes, and digital/streaming content issues.
