Lab Assistant / Phlebotomist

Schedule - Shift - Hours Part Time - Evenings - 1100-2030 or 1400-0030 Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) isseeking a Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team in Bolivar, Missouri —someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positivelyimpactevery patient and family we serve. Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt WorkShift: Evenings Hours: 11am-8:30pm or 2pm-12:30am What Your Day Looks Like: In this role, you will perform laboratory tests necessary for diagnosis and treatment of hospital inpatients and outpatients in an accurate and timely manner. As aLab Assistant, you will be: Verifying patients’ identities and accurately entering this information into the computer system Explaining the sample collection process to patients and answering any questions they may have Following safe hygiene rules and following chain of custody protocols Performing receptionistduties such as greeting and directing patientsand performing filing tasks as needed Completing cleaning, stocking, and sanitation tasks according to standardized regulations Qualifications Education:High school diploma or equivalent required;1-3 months on-the-job training in phlebotomy preferred Skills/Experience:One year or more experience preferred, including working with adults, pediatrics, infants, and geriatric patient populations Licensure/Certification:Friends and Family CPR within 6 months of employment Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of standing and walking, ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance, and ability to perform duties requiring good vision and hand coordination Benefits That Support You Competitive wages,annual merit increases, employee wellness program Why CMH?
