Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking experienced Mammography Technologists for per diem opportunities with a community health center serving the Boston area. This position offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and the opportunity to focus exclusively on screening mammography in a supportive outpatient environment.

Position Details

• Location: East Boston, MA, Boston, MA

• Start Date: August 31, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Per Diem Pool Position
• Monday-Friday Only
• Available Shifts: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM, 8:00 AM 8:00 PM
• No Weekends Required
• No Minimum Shifts Required
• Schedule Typically Released 6 Weeks in Advance
• Local Candidates Only

Compensation

• $80/Hour

Responsibilities

• Perform screening mammography examinations in accordance with facility protocols
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education throughout procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
• Follow quality assurance and radiation safety standards
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to support patient care

Qualifications

• ARRT (M) Certification Required
• Massachusetts Mammography License Required by Start Date
• 3D Mammography Experience Required
• BLS Certification Required by Start Date
• Previous Mammography Experience Preferred
• Strong patient care and communication skills

The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of technical activities associated with the performance of screening and diagnostic mammography procedures. The Mammography Technologist uses specialized X-ray equipment to take images of the breast tissue and work with radiologists to interpret the results. The Mammography Technologist helps detect breast cancers early to improve the chances of successful treatment and survival.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current State License or Certificate in state where they will be working
• One (1) year of experience as a Mammography Technician preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
