Billing Clerk

C&S has an immediate opening for a full-time, direct hire Billing Clerk in Jefferson City.

Salary/schedule for Billing Clerk: $35,000-$45,000/yr. + benefit package; Monday-Friday (full-time schedule)

Responsibilities:  

• Prepare and process client invoices for tax, accounting, bookkeeping and consulting services 
• Review billing information for accuracy and completeness 
• Enter billing data into accounting and practice management systems 
• Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections on past-due accounts 
• Apply client payments and maintain accurate account records 
• Respond to client inquiries regarding invoices and payment status 
• Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve account issues 
• Generate billing and aging reports for management 
• Maintain confidential client and financial information 
• Assist with general administrative and accounting support duties as needed 

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred 
• Previous billing, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or administrative experience preferred
• Experience in an accounting, CPA, legal, or professional services office is a plus 
• Strong data entry and organizational skills 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Experience handling client billing and collection 
• Experience with accounting software and billing systems preferred 
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Must have attention to detail, professional communication and time management skills
