Registered Nurse (RN) Labor and Delivery (L&D) St. Louis, MO
A Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse position is available in a fast-paced, high-acuity Health Care Facility setting. The role provides comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and immediate postpartum patients, with a focus on clinical judgment, independent management of laboring patients (including high-risk cases), and strong communication with interdisciplinary teams. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week (3 or 4 shifts per week)
• Required Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); minimum 2+ years of recent acute care setting experience with care for 2 patients; demonstrated ability to independently manage laboring patients, including high-risk obstetric cases; strong skills in fetal monitoring and interpretation; labor support and coaching; medication administration and IV therapy; obstetric emergencies and rapid response; experience working in a team-based, high acuity environment; excellent communication, critical thinking, and time management skills; ability to adapt quickly to new workflows, policies, and electronic medical records; Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1 (exemptions require client approval)
• Preferred Qualifications: Electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) training and interpretation; Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) fetal heart monitoring (FHM) preferred; two years of current inpatient, acute care hospital experience
• Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and immediate postpartum patients; collaborate with obstetric providers, anesthesia, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and interdisciplinary teams to support safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care throughout the labor and birth process; independently manage laboring patients, including high-risk obstetric cases; support fetal monitoring and respond to obstetric emergencies and rapid response needs; float between Antepartum and Labor & Delivery as needed
