Job Description And Duties Under the general direction of the Correctional Administrator, DOC, the Captain, AI plans, organizes and directs a program for the safe custody, calssification, discipline, care and treatment of the inmates housed within the program unit of a correctional facility. Limited Term 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months or may become permanent. Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s). Unique as in being surrounded by many areas for family fun, exercise, touristy adventures and more. Approximately 35 miles east of downtown Sacramento, approximately 53 miles west of Pier 39 in San Francisco, and if you want to meet in the middle you can swing by Napa which is approximately 30 miles west. Also located nearby are the Vacaville Outlets for all your shopping needs. Candidates new to CDCR are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
