Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Weekend availability required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting with an expected nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
• Float to Pediatric Med/Surg and NICU units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Complete self-scheduling for 3 twelve-hour shifts per week; shifts may be consecutive or split
• Participate in holiday coverage — expected to work 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Maintain compliance with all facility credentialing, background, and onboarding requirements prior to start

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of PICU experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rates (locals accepted at a lower rate)
• Must submit all time-off requests and scheduling needs upfront at time of submission — post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (Charge RNs and Lead RNs accepted)
• Must be willing to float to sister facilities nearby the contracted location as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Pediatric Med/Surg or NICU in addition to PICU
• Familiarity with self-scheduling systems and flexible shift arrangements
• Prior travel nursing experience in a pediatric acute care environment
