The Quality Assurance Lead will lead the Quality Assurance Technicians through coaching and delegation with direction from the Quality Assurance Manager. This position will also interface directly with management, Engineering, manufacturing, and floor personnel, along with vendors regarding quality related issues.

Job duties include assisting in the preparation of customer audits, recording test data and applying statistical quality control procedures, interpreting engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas to arrive at specified quality and reliability standards, selecting products for tests at specified stages in production process, and suggesting modifications or existing quality or production standards to receive optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

High importance duties and responsibilities include providing leadership and direction of QA Techs with a positive attitude, analyzing McGard and LDM quality concerns and suggesting improvement solutions, providing training and coaching for entry level QA Techs, and interacting with suppliers on quality issues.

Education and/or experience required include an ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally, a two (2) year Associate's degree (technical degree) with three (3) years of relevant experience or a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) with five (5) years of relevant experience, and an ASQ Certified Quality Technician preferred.

Other skills/abilities include maintaining a positive work atmosphere, working as a team player, fulfilling essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner, knowledge of statistical analysis, precision measurement and industrial practices, and involvement with various seminars/meetings by local Quality related organizations to keep abreast of new quality technology.

Physical demands include the ability to travel and work throughout the entire facility, within reasonable accommodation, and the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
