Senior Structural Engineer Location: Newton, MA Type: Regular Full-Time # of Openings: 1 Category: Civil/Structural Engineering Overview We need a Senior Structural Engineer for our Newton, MA office. The role requires technical leadership, project management, and business development support. Responsibilities Perform structural engineering analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures. Serve as Project Manager on diverse projects, overseeing staffing, financial management, and client communication. Lead site investigations to document existing conditions and structural deficiencies. Develop project plans, design calculations, specifications, and coordinate with other disciplines. Oversee construction administration through site visits and issue resolution. Apply technical and project management skills on projects ranging from small rehabilitation to large new construction. Mentor, train, and develop junior engineering staff. Contribute to technical proposals for new work. Represent the firm at client meetings and site visits. Participate in local industry organizations and business development functions. Improve the department’s technical standards. Coordinate staffing needs and project financial performance. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering; Master’s Degree a plus 7+ years’ experience in Structural Engineering MA PE required Strong mentorship skills Ability to manage projects, clients, and delegate tasks Understanding and application of code requirements Experience with various structural analysis software Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines AutoCAD and Revit experience a plus Benefits and Compensation Salary range: $130,000–$150,000 annually (final amount based on qualifications) Comprehensive benefits package and positive work environment Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available for this role Company Culture We foster collaboration and empower employees to share ideas, maximize potential, and contribute to a supportive workplace.
