Description
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized and observational assessment techniques.
  • Create bespoke treatment plans tailored to address immediate goals along with long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver individual speech therapy sessions targeting communication skills, language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure an integrated care approach.
  • Provide educational resources for patients and their families to support progress beyond clinical sessions.
  • Assist with select inpatient speech therapy evaluations and therapies, promoting consistent care throughout the healing journey.
  • Maintain detailed and precise documentation that is in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field by engaging in ongoing professional development and collaboration with peers.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if the ASHA certification is not yet obtained.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be acquired within 30 days of hire.

  • Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for all age groups, with a comprehensive understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
