Electrical Assembler

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Job Summary

The Electrical Assembler is responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and inspecting electrical components, control panels, and subassemblies. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read technical documents, and adherence to safety and quality standards to ensure products meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical components, control panels, and subassemblies according to blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions.
• Install, route, label, and secure wiring, cables, harnesses, relays, switches, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
• Mount electrical and mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, drills, torque tools, and fastening equipment.
• Perform point-to-point wiring and terminate wires according to specifications.
• Read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.
• Conduct continuity, functionality, and quality checks using testing equipment such as multimeters and other diagnostic tools.
• Inspect completed assemblies to verify proper fit, alignment, wiring accuracy, and overall workmanship.
• Troubleshoot and correct wiring, assembly, and component issues as needed.
• Identify defective materials, parts, or equipment and report discrepancies to supervisors.
• Maintain production records, assembly documentation, and quality checklists.
• Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparation of completed units for shipment.
• Follow company procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area using 5S and lean manufacturing practices.
• Work collaboratively with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical assembly, manufacturing, panel building, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and electrical testing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing or production facility.
• Fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• May require use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear.
• Exposure to electrical components, machinery, and production equipment.
