Step into a meaningful and rewarding part-time role supporting students with diverse learning needs as an ARD Facilitator and Special Education Teacher. This contract opportunity is perfect for a dedicated educator looking to make a substantial difference while enjoying a flexible work schedule. As an integral participant in the special education process, you’ll guide and facilitate ARD meetings two days per week, fostering collaboration between staff, families, and students to ensure the best educational outcomes.
In this position, you’ll use your expertise to drive student success, advocate for individualized support plans, and work closely with school teams to uphold state and federal compliance standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Prior experience facilitating Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings
- Strong understanding of IDEA and special education processes
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Experience developing or reviewing IEPs preferred
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, student-focused learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate ARD meetings, ensuring all parties are informed and included
- Review, organize, and maintain student records and required documentation
- Guide the creation, implementation, and monitoring of individualized education plans
- Provide support and guidance to instructional staff regarding student needs
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education requirements
- Serve as a liaison between families, staff, and district administration
