Job Summary:
The dialysis registered nurse (RN) position is located in Decatur, Illinois, within an acute care inpatient dialysis unit. The role involves providing specialized renal care, including the administration of blood products, management of vascular access, and treatment of acute renal conditions. Candidates must bring their license on the first day and have a minimum of one year of relevant experience. The shift schedule is four days per week, 10 hours per day, from 07:00 to 17:30, with additional on-call responsibilities.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, from 07:00 to 17:30, with 2-3 overnight calls, including every third Saturday and on-call until Monday at 07:00
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license, minimum 1 year of dialysis experience, BLS certification (ACLS preferred), Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, and ability to cannulate arteriovenous fistulas and grafts.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification, prior experience in trauma level II facilities, Cerner EMR user experience.
• Additional Information: The position requires acute care inpatient dialysis experience, handling cases of acute kidney injury, acute renal failure, and vascular access issues. Familiarity with B. Braun Dialog dialysate system, blood flow rate management, and complication troubleshooting is essential. Candidates should be prepared for orientation and complete all compliance modules timely.
