Director of Accounting

Providing financial leadership in a remote full-time capacity, the Director of Accounting will manage general accounting functions, oversee accounting for distinct business units, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information within a complex organization. Key Responsibilities Direct all general accounting functions, including operating expenses, capital expenditures, and internal payroll costs, while overseeing two distinct business lines Deliver comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial reports with detailed variance analysis and provide strategic insights to senior management Lead, coach, and develop a geographically distributed accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning Required Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Accounting required Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in a management role In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Strong systems experience, including large enterprise financial systems; hands-on experience with Oracle products preferred People-first leadership mindset with strong emotional intelligence and a collaborative approach
