Description:PEER Chain & Sprockets is a family-owned industrial chain and sprocket supplier based in Waukegan, Illinois, providing high-quality products for power transmission, conveying, and lifting applications since 1969. We serve a wide range of industries including agriculture, food processing, lumber, construction, and sewage treatment, offering ANSI and ISO compliant chains. Now celebrating over 56 years in business, the company has grown into a four-generation family operation known for its product expertise and quick turnaround times.
PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Inspect work for defects and measure pieces to determine the accuracy of the machine operation, using rules, templates or other measuring instruments
- Read drawings or job orders to determine product specifications and tooling instructions
- Use drills, grinders, Plasma cutting tool and holding devices using templates, measuring instruments and hand tools
- Ensure work area is clean and safety standards are followed
- Read work orders for materials needed (chain and parts)
- Assemble and package work orders as specified
- Ensure lengths, quantities and spacing is correct per order
- Maintain a clean working environment free of debris and hazards
- Understand and implement the company’s quality policy to ensure quality objectives are met
- Must be able to work with automated machinery and the ability to troubleshoot
- Must be able to use basic hand tools properly to ensure safety

Pay: $20 per hour to start
