Veterinary Externship — Highland Lakes Veterinary Clinic (Marble Falls, TX) Up to $1,500 Travel/Living Stipend Available About the Clinic: Highland Lakes Veterinary Clinic is a busy, community-focused small animal hospital offering personalized, high-quality care to the pets of Marble Falls and the surrounding areas. As part of the NVA network, we provide students with a unique externship experience that blends meaningful clinical exposure with a team-centered, supportive atmosphere. Externship Highlights: Performing physical exams and gathering patient histories Developing diagnostic and treatment plans Assisting with and observing surgical and dental procedures Participating in diagnostics, case discussions, and medical care Practicing client communication and teamwork with support staff Observing the operations and daily flow of a small animal practice Externs are encouraged to take initiative and become active participants in patient care— not just observers. Our DVMs enjoy teaching and are committed to helping you build both clinical confidence and communication skills.
