About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience preferred License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Must have ICU experience - Must be comfortable floating Description: The Registered Nurse will work in a Progressive Care Unit. This position requires floating to various units, including ICU and medical-surgical units. The patient ratio is 1:4-5. Experience in managing non-titrating drips such as Amiodarone and Cardizem is essential. Responsibilities include managing stable BiPAP patients and home ventilators. Candidates should be knowledgeable in wound care and administer nebulizer treatments. Experience with hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis is beneficial. Telemonitoring and telemetry experience are needed. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and teamwork capabilities. Flexibility in working weekends and holidays as required is expected. Additional skills include accessing and managing ports and interpreting dysrhythmias. Experience with various patient diagnoses, including CHF and COPD, is necessary. The ability to adhere to safety protocols and maintain patient care standards is crucial. This role requires participation in interdisciplinary team support services.
