Work Environment

This position is based in our community health clinic but allows for full-time remote work. As a mental health therapist, you will join a multidisciplinary team of professionals including psychiatrists, social workers, and behavioral health specialists. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Create and implement individualized treatment strategies aimed at trauma recovery and resilience enhancement.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health professionals to provide integrated, holistic care that addresses all aspects of a client's well-being.
• Deliver crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate assistance to clients in distress.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed practices and share knowledge with the team.
• Stay current with the latest research and best practices relevant to trauma therapy to enhance treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a mental health therapist, you will primarily serve individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including childhood abuse, domestic violence, and other traumatic events leading to PTSD and related disorders. Your compassionate approach will help patients navigate their recovery journeys, promoting healing and empowerment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Massachusetts.
• A strong foundational knowledge of trauma-informed care and therapeutic approaches.
• Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and create a safe space for clients.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting.
• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• Strong understanding of resilience-building approaches and their application in therapeutic settings.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations while providing empathetic care.
• Previous experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
