Business Need

KFC Global has existing franchise and development agreement data housed across agreement documents, contract files, and other non-standardized formats.
While the data exists, it is not currently structured in a way that can be easily analyzed, shared with consulting partners, or incorporated into future reporting and planning work.
The immediate objective is to extract key information from existing agreements and organize it into a standardized Excel dataset.
This dataset will support consulting analysis, business planning, future reporting, and broader data modernization efforts.

Project Scope and Requirements

• Scope: Manual data extraction and entry from agreement documents into a predefined Excel template.

• Estimated volume: Approximately 150 active or approved agreements.

• Estimated effort: Initial estimate of approximately 40 hours, with a more realistic planning range of 80-100 total hours to account for training, validation, QA, and review.

• Core activities: Review agreement files, locate designated fields, enter data into the standardized template, and validate entries for accuracy.

• Technical complexity: Low. SQL, Python, R, advanced analytics, BI, and data modeling are not required.

• Primary skills needed: Strong attention to detail, process adherence, basic-to-intermediate Excel proficiency, and the ability to work independently after training.
