Job Description Job Description Position OverviewThe Production Manager is responsible for overseeing operations throughout the production and distribution life of theproduct. This role will ensure production operations run smoothly and efficiently, while meeting all quality standards.This role will be responsible for the planning, coordinating and controlling of manufacturing processes to ensureproducts are produced on time and within budget.This position is expected to uphold the Why and Culture Principles as established by the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesCulture Leadership Supervise day-to-day functions of production Leads and staff Establish communication across appropriate departments regarding production concerns, issues, and progress Evaluate performance of production staff providing time feedback and development opportunities Provide leadership and guidance to ensure a positive culture and healthy work environment Works alongside Human Resources regarding hiring, terminating, and performance management of direct reportemployeesResource Management Allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtimePerformance Data Analysis Ensure job details are maintained, measured, and reported including budget vs. actual, quality output frommanufacturing, on time delivery, rework, and efficiency Implement appropriate corrective actions when applicablePlanning and Scheduling Prepare production schedule to establish sequence and lead times of each operation to meet shipping deadlinesaccording to sales forecasts and/or customer orders Coordinate workflow and related needs to ensure smooth production operations Utilize the ERP system to:o Ensure data accuracyo Assist in maintaining accurate workstation routings, bills of material, and routing steps Identify and resolve production-related issues promptly and effectivelyQuality Process Improvement Maintain compliance with OSHA, ISO, ASME, and other relevant manufacturing standards Monitor production and quality control standards to ensure products meet specifications Document, address, and resolve any quality issues that arise including corrective actions when appropriate Drive continuous improvements to enhance product quality and customer satisfactionSafety Compliance Monitor and enforce compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards and requirements Adhere to all company, health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeingof self, staff and visitorsRequired Skills Abilities Business Acumen Communication Proficiency: Written and Verbal Interpersonal Skills / Teambuilding Problem Solving/Continuous Improvement Results Oriented Servant Leadership Safety Minded Strategic Thinking Time managementMinimum Qualifications Working knowledge of weld fabrication, machining, fitting, assembly, inspection and production routingpractices in a custom or engineered-to-order manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, machining drawings, weld symbols, bills ofmaterial, routings, and customer specifications Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, labor allocation, capacity planning, workflowcoordination, and on-time delivery performance Experience using an ERP or manufacturing system to review work orders, routings, material availability, laborreporting, job status, and production priorities Demonstrated ability to lead welders, machinists, fitters, assemblers, and production leads while maintainingaccountability for safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance

 Knowledge of quality control practices, nonconformance reporting, corrective action, rework tracking, andcontinuous improvement methods Strong communication, problem solving, decision making, and organization skills with the ability to coordinateeffectively across production, quality, engineering, purchasing, and customer service functions Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English High school diploma or equivalent requiredPreferred Qualifications Minimum 5 years progressive manufacturing experience in a weld fabrication, machining, pressure vessel, orASME-regulated job shop environment, with at least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or productionleadership role Familiarity with ASME Code requirement, quality documentation, material traceability, weld procedures,inspection hold points, and job traveler requirements Experience working within an ASME and ISO 9001 certified organizationSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position will have supervisory responsibility overseeing Lead positions within the Elastomer, Final Assembly,Machining, and Weld Production departments.Work Conditions/EnvironmentWork will be performed in both an internal office environment working under normal office conditions as well asexposure to the manufacturing environment subject to varying temperatures and conditions.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers tofeel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. The employee may be required to bend, twist, stoop, crouchor kneel on an infrequent basis. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and theability to adjust focus. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. on an infrequent basis.
