Technical Accounting and Revenue Lead

Senior Technical Accounting Manager Our client, a rapidly scaling technology company, is seeking a Senior Technical Accounting Manager to support continued growth and increasing accounting complexity. Location: San Francisco, CA. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, 4 days per week in the office. Job Description This role sits at the intersection of technical accounting, financial reporting, and business partnership, and will play a key role in strengthening accounting foundations and scalable processes. The ideal candidate is highly hands-on, comfortable operating in an evolving environment, and enjoys partnering cross-functionally to solve complex problems. Responsibilities Lead research, documentation, and application of technical accounting guidance under U.S. GAAP Own revenue recognition processes and support contract review and revenue-related analyses Serve as a technical accounting resource to stakeholders across the organization Lead or support the preparation of internal and external financial reporting deliverables Manage equity-related accounting activities and support coordination with internal partners Assist with audit activities and preparation of supporting documentation Partner with tax advisors and internal teams to support compliance and reporting needs Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and scale accounting processes and systems Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and industry experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to apply guidance in complex scenarios Experience supporting audits and financial reporting processes Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving processes Compensation Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to: The individual’s skill sets, experience, and training; Licensure and certifications; Office location and other geographic considerations; Other business and organizational needs.
