Job Title: Clinic Operations Director Reports to: Executive Director Direct reports : Clinic Operations Manager and Clinic Operations Coordinator Effective Date: November 2026 Classification: Full-Time, Exempt, Hybrid Location: Greater Boston, Massachusetts Compensation: $80,000-$85,000 Theory of Change: Link Health actively seeks to assist eligible people in navigating and enrolling in benefit programs that address crucial needs like affordable internet, food access, healthcare support, and housing resources. To do this, we will utilize community-centered approaches that leverage data, technology, and partnerships. This will reduce barriers & connect underserved populations to available benefits to improve economic stability and health outcomes. Job Summary: Link Health is seeking a hands on, results-oriented Clinic Operations Director to lead the day to day execution and continuous improvement of our clinic operations. This role is responsible for ensuring clinic teams have the support, systems, processes, and accountability needed to deliver consistently strong results. The Clinic Operations Director will oversee day to day clinic operations, strengthen workflows , support and develop the Clinic Operations team, and ensure operational challenges are identified and resolved quickly. The Director will also work closely with the Executive Director and cross-functional teams, including Technology, Clinic Operations, Research, and Communications, to strengthen systems, improve workflows, and support the continued growth and scalability of Link Health's programs. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who is comfortable moving between managing a team and working directly in clinic environments to solve operational problems. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement, developing practical solutions, establishing accountability, and ensuring that operational priorities align with Link Health's mission and organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Clinic Operational & Process Improvement (40%) the day-to-day operations of Link Health's clinic programs, including staffing and resource coordination, workflow management, operational planning, and performance tracking. Maintain a regular presence in Boston-area clinics to understand frontline operations, support staff, troubleshoot operational challenges, and ensure clinic teams have what they need to succeed. Regularly review clinic performance data to identify trends, understand where clinics or teams are falling short of goals, and work directly with staff to address barriers and improve results. Respond to clinic performance issues by identifying root causes, developing clear action plans, assigning ownership, and following through until issues are resolved. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven methodologies and performance metrics Manage strategic operational projects and organizational initiatives as assigned by the Executive Director. Directly supervise, coach, and develop the Clinic Operations Manager and Clinic Operations Coordinator, ensuring clear goals, priorities, and accountability. Partner with Research, Technology, and other organizational teams to identify operational needs, resolve challenges, and improve service delivery. Partnership Development & Management (30%) Maintain strong day-to-day working relationships with clinical, academic, and community partners supporting Link Health's clinic operations. Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential clinical, academic, community, and strategic partners based on mission alignment, operational fit, and potential impact. Collaborate across teams to execute joint projects with partners, as well as manage day-to-day operational activities of the Clinic Ops Team Monitor the operational performance of clinic partnerships using agreed-upon metrics, staff and partner feedback, and other relevant data, and address issues that affect successful delivery. Establish consistent project management practices, tools, and standards for partnership initiatives. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure partnership commitments translate into effective operational execution. Tech Collaboration & Communication (20%) Partner with the Technology Team to align technology solutions with Clinic Operations Team needs and partnership requirements Work across teams to ensure operational needs and frontline perspectives are considered when new systems, tools, or processes are developed and implemented. Interface with automated systems and chatbot technology to optimize operational workflows Provide the Executive Director with clear and timely updates on clinic performance, operational challenges, partner issues, risks, and recommended actions. Organizational Leadership & Planning (10%) Partner with the Executive Director to translate organizational priorities into clear clinic operational plans, timelines, and measurable outcomes. Bring insights from clinic operations, partners and data into organization planning and decision-making Anticipate operational risks and capacity needs and proactively recommend solutions to the Executive Director. Ensure strategic initiatives are effectively implemented, and that progress and results are communicated to organizational leadership. Required Experience & Skills Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred 5+ years of experience in operations management, program management, business development, or strategic partnerships in healthcare, community services or related fields. Deep understanding of federal, state, and local safety net, public benefits, and social services programs, specifically Medicaid and SNAP Proven track record of developing and managing strategic alliances with measurable outcomes Strong operational and project management experience with demonstrated process improvement results Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with frontline staff, organizational leadership, and external partners. Demonstrated ability to manage teams, including setting goals, providing feedback, managing performance, and developing employees. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in AI-enabled tools and data visualization platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) Experience in healthcare technology, digital health, or health services operations Experience working in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations Knowledge of healthcare operations, compliance, and regulatory requirements Experience scaling programs, services, or operations across multiple locations or organizational partners. Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the Clinic Operations Team Oversee the effective implementation and ongoing performance of clinic operations. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working at a computer Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds Other Requirements Candidates must reside in the Greater Boston, Massachusetts area and be able and be able to regularly work in person at Link Health's Boston‑area clinic locations based on operational needs.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, including regular participation in virtual and in‑person meetings. Ability and willingness to travel approximately six times per year to support partner relationships, multi‑city operations, team development, and organizational initiatives. This is a full‑time role. Link Health offers a flexible hybrid work environment, with approximately 2 to 3 days per week spent in the field and the remaining time working remotely.
