Preventative Maintenance Technician

Summary of Responsibility The Preventative Maintenance Technician will have a basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to provide scheduled maintenance of CNC production equipment through the use of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment. Key Responsibilities Daily travel to customer facilities with occasional overnight stays when servicing remote locations within the designated coverage territory or during remote training programs. Research machine parts and service using machine tool manuals, technical documents, internal and vendor resources. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area in compliance with safety laws. Perform preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment and conduct maintenance training for customer employees. Execute mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair of CNC machines. Other Functions Perform related duties as required. Qualifications & Competencies High School Diploma or equivalent. Current Valid Class D License in good standing. 3-5 years of validated experience within the manufacturing industry (maintenance & repair and/or broad shop background is a plus). Attention to detail with technical curiosity and strong problem‑solving skills. Proficient in English verbal and written communication. Basic digital literacy and solid understanding of MS Office (Word, Outlook) and other business programs. Excellent interpersonal skills: communicate in person and over the phone with customers and co‑workers applying customer‑relations skills. Safety‑Sensitive Requirements Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods while servicing equipment. Work in tight spaces or awkward positions, including accessing equipment interiors and elevated areas. Strong hand–eye coordination and fine motor skills for precise electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic work. Operate in industrial environments with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, while consistently wearing required PPE.
