Industrial Maintenance MechanicThe Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for executing preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on brewing equipment and facilities in a safe and organized manner. This position supports brewery operations from Monday-Friday, 8am – 4pm. While the focus of this position is the brewing equipment, our maintenance team are first responders to facilities, HVAC, and kitchen needs.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAdvanced troubleshooting and critical thinking skillsUnderstanding of pumps, motors, valves, and control systemsExperienced with Lock out tag out procedures and appropriate PPEAbility to read electrical drawings, building blueprints, and equipment manualsWillingness to take on unfamiliar and challenging situationsUnderstand and troubleshoot electrical and controls equipment down to component levelUnderstanding of industrial wastewater treatment sampling and reporting (preferred)2 years of experience in industrial maintenance (preferred)TIG welding and metalworking (preferred)HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance (preferred)ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance on brewing equipment and contribute to the improvement of the preventative maintenance programDiagnose and repair brewing/packaging equipmentIdentify and perform improvement projectsInventory upkeep and documentation of critical spare parts on facility wide systemsCommunicate effectively with operators, management, and equipment manufacturersRecord work performed in work order systemPerform general facilities maintenance: plumbing, electrical, drywall, paintingPrioritize and complete repair jobs in an unsupervised environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift heavy items up to 60lbs, stand, squat, and work in hot or cold or humid environments for an extended periodAvailability for unplanned emergency repairsPhysically and mentally able to work in tight spaces and in close quarters with othersThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
