Inventory Control Warehouse Manager

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Warehouse Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Newbury Park, CA. This role will take full ownership of inventory control across five warehouse locations supporting a high-volume clothing and textile operation with more than 1 million units in active movement. This is a hands-on warehouse leadership role for an inventory professional who thrives on floor visibility, process discipline, accountability, and measurable results. The Inventory Control Warehouse Manager will lead inventory accuracy, cycle counts, physical counts, movement control, location discipline, investigations, and team training across multiple facilities. This opportunity is ideal for a strong warehouse inventory leader who wants ownership, visibility, and the ability to make a direct operational impact. Key Responsibilities Own inventory accuracy, inventory flow, location control, and movement discipline across all warehouse locations. Lead cycle counts, physical counts, location audits, movement audits, inventory investigations, and reconciliation activities. Review inventory movements to confirm system activity matches the true physical flow of goods through storage, replenishment, picking, packing, returns, transfers, and final movement. Investigate discrepancies, shortages, overages, missing units, incorrect locations, unexplained adjustments, and recurring process failures. Train, lead, and hold inventory team members and cross-functional warehouse teams accountable for following inventory procedures. Recommend warehouse layout and placement improvements that reduce touches, improve pick flow, protect inventory accuracy, and improve operational efficiency. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $100,000 to $120,000 per year, based on experience. Job type: Direct hire. Location: Newbury Park, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills Manage inventory control across multiple warehouse locations and more than 1 million units. Lead cycle count, physical count, inventory audit, reconciliation, and discrepancy investigation processes. Control inventory flow through storage, replenishment, picking, packing, returns, transfers, and warehouse movements. Train inventory staff, enforce process discipline, and drive accountability across warehouse departments. 6 to 10 years of relevant inventory control, warehouse inventory management, or distribution operations experience. Experience managing inventory across multiple warehouses or large, high-volume warehouse operations. Strong experience with cycle counts, physical counts, inventory reconciliation, inventory audits, movement reviews, and root-cause investigations. Experience in apparel, clothing, consumer goods, e-commerce, wholesale, retail distribution, or high-SKU warehouse operations. Strong understanding of pick and pack operations, replenishment, storage, location control, inventory flow, and warehouse movement. Experience operating or working around forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse machinery. Strong WMS, Excel, reporting, and inventory analysis skills. Ability to identify process failures directly on the warehouse floor and correct them through training, accountability, and process improvement. Strong leadership skills with the ability to challenge poor processes, enforce standards, and communicate clearly across departments. Ability to work in a hands-on warehouse environment, walk the floor regularly, validate counts, review locations, and confirm system accuracy. Preferred Qualifications Not specified.
