Job Description The Chain Account Manager (CAM) will lead MBG’s relationship and business execution with H‑E‑B, one of our most strategic retail partner. This role is responsible for driving volume, distribution (PODs), programming, and flawless in‑store execution across all divisions (wine, beer, and emerging categories). This is a high‑impact, high‑visibility role requiring strong commercial acumen, cross‑functional leadership, and the ability to turn strategy into results at both the corporate and store level.

Duties And Responsibilities Chain Strategy & Execution Own the day‑to‑day relationship with H‑E‑B buyers and category managers Develop and execute annual and quarterly business plans aligned with MBG and supplier goals Drive distribution gains (PODs), shelf placement, and cold box presence Lead all submissions for resets, cut‑ins, and new item presentations Programming & Pricing Build and execute pricing strategies (EDLC, TPR, ad features) Align supplier funding and programming with H‑E‑B promotional calendars Ensure pricing accuracy and alignment across all systems and stores Volume & Performance Management Deliver against volume, revenue, and margin targets Track performance vs. goals (velocity, POD growth, display execution) Identify opportunities and gaps, and quickly deploy action plan Field Execution Leadership Partner with Area Managers and Sales Reps to ensure best‑in‑class execution Translate chain strategy into clear field priorities (displays, features, placements) Hold teams accountable for in‑store standards and follow‑through Supplier Management Serve as the primary point of contact for key suppliers tied to H‑E‑B Align on goals, programming, and growth expectations Lead business reviews and communicate performance updates Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Portfolio teams Ensure alignment on inventory, forecasting, and supply chain needs Help resolve operational issues impacting chain performance

Collaborate with peer leadership to strategize and solve issues that disrupt goal achievement A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and department leaders with the purpose of: Being approachable at all times Being known as a trusted resource for knowledge and guidance Desire to deliver excellence – Always looking for the very best product in what we do Living Above the Line – Exhibiting ownership, accountability and responsibility Engaged – Ensuring we all care about Mexcor and the work we do, from the top - down Responsive – We do what we say in a timely manner Respected – As professionals, we are known for accuracy in all we say and do Confident – Trust in our ability to be successful and make good decisions Qualifications 5+ years of beverage alcohol or CPG experience (distribution or supplier preferred) Proven experience managing chain accounts (H‑E‑B strongly preferred) Strong understanding of: Pricing strategy (EDLC, TPR, margin structure) Chain programming and promotional calendars Retail execution and merchandising standards Demonstrated ability to drive volume growth and distribution gains 21 years or older, High School Diploma or GED Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow‑through Proficiency in Excel and data‑driven decision making This position requires attendance at local meetings, local travel and occasional out‑of‑town travel Hold a valid and current Texas driver’s license within MVR policy guidelines throughout employment Ensure reliable, insured transportation, in accordance with company policy The policy must include the following minimum coverage: $100,000 for bodily injury, $300,000 for liability, and $50,000 for property damage Must be able to pass a background and drug screening for hire and randomly throughout employment NOTE Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
