Technical Sales Specialist - Flow Cytometry Instruments - Boston

Technical sales specialist position selling flow cytometry instruments to academic, government, and industrial customers throughout New England. The role combines equipment demonstrations, prospecting, and participation in scientific conferences and trade shows.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate and sell flow cytometry analyzers and cell sorters to target accounts
Prospect for new business opportunities and drive sales forward
Provide technical specifications, product capabilities information, and instrument demonstrations
Attend and participate in sales meetings, seminars, and trade shows
Monitor flow cytometry market trends and competitive landscape

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field; Master's or PhD preferred
Strong background and hands-on experience with flow cytometry instrumentation
5+ years work experience, preferably in research laboratory or instrumentation sales
Excellent oral and written communication abilities
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems like Salesforce
Ability to travel overnight up to 50% of the time

Compensation: $84,000–$124,925 base
