Staff Accountant for Non-Profit in New Jersey
My client, a non-profit located in Caldwell, New Jersey is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their firm. The firm has been in existence since the 1930's and offers significant opportunity for growth.
The ideal candidate should be driven by the company's mission, and motivated to grow in the department.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:
- Review and analyze budget, identifying budget issues and providing solutions.
- Assist with month, quarter and year end closing responsibilities including journal entries and reconciliations
- Monthly reconciliations
- Act as backup for Accounts Payable
- Projecting financial trends including annual forecasts
- Assist with preparation of operating and salary budget
- Monitoring of annual grants and transactions in compliance with fund requirements
- Maintain accounting records for endowment and restricted and unrestricted funds
- Assist with audit preparation
Experience Preferred for the Staff Accountant:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance a plus
- Non-profit experience a plus
- Experience with Jenzabar major plus
- Excellent communication skills & attention to detail
Compensation $30.00-35.00 commensurate with experience
