Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Radiology

Description . This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work on-site, providing essential radiological services to our diverse patient population. As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and interpreting medical images, contributing to effective patient care. You'll work closely with medical staff to ensure high-quality imaging services and maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the process. This is a vital role within our medical practice that directly impacts treatment outcomes and patient well-being. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs Interpret results and communicate findings to referring physicians Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation Adhere to safety protocols and best practices Participate in continuing education to stay current with advancements in radiology Provide exceptional patient interaction and support during imaging procedures Assist in the development of imaging protocols and guidelines Schedule: Monday-Friday (8:30a-4:30p) No call requirement Patient Volume: 50-60 cases per day Responsibilities: Screenings, diagnostics, breast ultrasounds, bone density, and procedures Procedures based on comfort level PACS: Change Healthcare Dictation: Powerscribe Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses Requirements MD degree from an accredited medical school Associate level experience in Radiology Valid medical license to practice in the respective state Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Commitment to patient safety and quality of care Knowledge of advanced imaging technologies is preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr 77 consultants
