Responsibilities Manage and monitor all fiscal functions within the program by conducting thorough forensic financial analysis of businesses, individuals, or groups identified as participating in suspicious or illegal activity. Conduct, oversee, and manage advanced analysis of financial data and other information relevant to financial crimes, including activity involving cryptocurrency. Identify and trace funding sources and interrelated transactions; identify assets for forfeiture or seizure and calculate losses. Compile findings and conclusions into financial investigative reports. Establish priorities and supervise subordinate personnel (e.g., provide developmental opportunities and work direction, coach staff to foster development, monitor staff activities to ensure quality customer service and information technology security, evaluate performance, approve section staffing levels, recommend discipline, pre-screen applications, and participate in interviews). Qualifications Option 1: 48 months experience conducting research and writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical, and/or statistical research techniques. Option 2: Completion of a graduate core program in homeland security, political science, criminal justice, emergency management, public health, international affairs or related field; and 12 months experience conducting research and writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical, and/or statistical research techniques. Option 3: 12 months experience as a Public Safety Intelligence Analyst, 64931; or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment. Supplemental Information Training and Development : If required, must obtain LEADS certification; must renew LEADS certification biannually. Additionally, some positions at Department of Public Safety must be able to obtain & maintain secret level federal security clearance. Unusual Working Conditions : May require some travel. Working hours will include nights, weekends, and holidays, based on operational need. Position also requires the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Secret level Security Clearance. Requires valid driver's license to operate state-owned vehicle or must be able to provide own transportation. This position is essential, meaning the duties this job performs are critical to the continued operations of the Ohio Department of Public Safety during a public safety emergency (OAC 123: 1-46-01 & DAS Directive HR-D-11). This position will be required to report for duty during any public safety emergency. Background Check Information BCI and FBI fingerprint check, a background check, including a polygraph examination, may be required on all selected applicants.
