Quality Manager

Overview The Quality Manager is responsible for development and maintenance of the Quality Management System. This includes both the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards and product standards for the Solar Gard line of window film products as well as CoreTech Films products manufactured for the healthcare, aerospace, and electronics industries. Through the Quality Manager's guidance and leadership, the Quality Assurance team provides support so that the Company achieves and maintains industry leadership in the quality of its products. Also, this position has full responsibility for the quality department's budget and will be responsible for influencing site improvements through projects and CAPEX. Responsibilities Lead and manage the Quality activities with strategic and tactical management of new and ongoing projects to improve overall quality efficiencies to meet business and customer needs. Maintain and improve the Quality Management System to ensure ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance, as well as product quality standards for Solar Gard and CoreTech Films. Collaborate with R&D, Technology, and Operations to ensure capable manufacturing processes and cost improvements. Coach and develop the Quality team; hire, promote, recognize, and manage performance; ensure personnel are qualified and trained per ISO and EHS policies. Deploy assets and establish budgets to meet material and labor cost objectives; identify, investigate, and resolve product quality issues in manufacturing and post-sale (e.g., warranty claims, returns). Provide data analysis on quality issues and lead improvement projects from scoping to execution; represent the company with customers and suppliers on quality concerns. Drive continual process control and yield improvements; implement capital investments to achieve cost savings. Ensure ISO 9001 certification requirements are met and that the quality system is streamlined for efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Polymer); Master's degree preferred. 10+ years of management experience with extensive ISO 9001 quality systems experience; experience in healthcare/medical quality environments is a strong benefit. Experience serving customers in highly regulated fields (healthcare, automotive, aerospace). 5+ years in metrology and design/use of inspection systems, especially in film processing. 5+ years in web-based processes (metalizing, coating & laminating, slitting). Strong knowledge of OSHA safety requirements. Familiarity with PPAP; experience with healthcare QA procedures (IQ/OQ/PQ) preferred. Experience with SAP; DMAIC and Six Sigma tools; proficiency in root cause analysis (5 Whys, 8D, fishbone). Ability to analyze and present data visually and to draw actionable conclusions; ability to present to different levels in the organization. ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification and Lean/Six Sigma certifications strongly preferred. Compensation and Benefits Pay transparency: national pay range for this position is $102,000 to $158,000 per year; base pay varies by geography, experience, and other factors. This position is eligible for an annual bonus with a targeted amount of 13% of base salary. The Total Target Cash range (base pay plus annual bonus) is $115,260 - $178,540. Bonus payments are variable and not guaranteed.
