With no long commutes, clean mountain air, and easy access to both nature and culture, it's an ideal place for professionals and families alike.Key ResponsibilitiesYou will lead all aspects of inpatient pharmacy operations, including medication distribution, sterile compounding, automated dispensing systems, controlled substances, and inventory management. Ensuring compliance with USP 797/800, Joint Commission standards, and regulatory requirements will be central to your role. You'll drive optimization of workflows, including ADC configuration, cart fill processes, and Epic integration, while also overseeing drug purchasing, shortage management, and cost stewardship. Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures and leading quality improvement initiatives will ensure safe, efficient, and high-performing operations. On the clinical side, you'll support evidence-based pharmacy services across all inpatient areas. You'll lead medication safety efforts, including adverse event review and process improvement, and contribute to formulary management and Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee activities. During high-acuity periods, you'll step in to provide direct clinical support. As a key Epic Willow leader, you'll guide both operational and clinical workflows within the system—overseeing medication records, order routing, decision support tools, and reporting. You'll collaborate closely with IT and clinical teams to optimize system performance and ensure alignment with patient safety and rural care needs.Leadership & Team DevelopmentThis role offers the opportunity to shape and mentor a dedicated pharmacy team. You'll directly manage pharmacists and technicians, leading hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance development. You'll also drive ongoing education in clinical protocols, operational workflows, and Epic functionality. In a rural hospital setting, cross-training and skill development are essential—you'll help elevate technician capabilities and support pharmacists in expanding their clinical expertise.
