Purpose and Scope?

The Graphic Designer plays a key role in bringing the Vogel Bros. brand to life through thoughtful, high-quality visual communications. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, business development professionals, project teams, and company leadership, this role creates compelling print and digital materials that support proposals, recruiting, project pursuits, community engagement, and corporate marketing initiatives. 

The Graphic Designer independently manages projects from concept through final production, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and brand consistency. Success in this role requires creativity, organization, collaboration, and the ability to transform complex construction concepts into engaging visual stories. 

What You’ll Do

• Design high-impact proposals, qualifications packages, interview presentations, and pursuit materials.  
• Create custom infographics, process diagrams, schedules, maps, and other graphics that communicate technical construction information.  
• Design project sheets, case studies, resumes, presentation boards, and leave-behind materials.  
• Develop branding assets including templates, icons, business cards, signage, and presentation materials.  
• Produce graphics for social media, recruiting, internal communications, website content, community engagement, and tradeshow events.  
• Design Referendum Information Sheets, FAQ documents, Mailers, Public Meeting Presentations and Materials including Flyers and Posters? 
• Advertisements, Name Badges, Office graphics, Onboarding Materials, Yearly Benefit Packet Information, Safety Manuals, Flyers, Banners? 
• Support project startup and closeout graphics including site utilization plans, fence scrims, signage, and event materials.  
• Collaborate with marketing, business development, and operations teams to align creative work with company goals and project pursuits.  
• Interpret creative direction while maintaining Vogel Bros.' brand standards across all print and digital media.  
• Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to continuously refine and improve creative work.  
• Stay current on design trends, AI-powered creative tools, and industry best practices. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong creative skills with the ability to independently manage projects from concept through final production.  
• Ability to interpret creative direction and translate ideas into polished, on-brand deliverables.  
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).  
• Experience with Canva, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.  
• Working knowledge of digital marketing, social media design, and print production.  
• Interest in photography, video editing, animation, or motion graphics is a plus.  
• Strong understanding of typography, color theory, composition, and visual hierarchy.  
• Ability to communicate complex information through clean, engaging graphics.  
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.  
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.  
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both creative and technical teams.

Education and Experience?

• Associate or bachelor’s degree: one to three years of experience recommended? 
• No degree: three to five years of relevant A/E/C experience required? 
• 3-7 years of experience or equivalent education and experience in A/E/C industry? 
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred??
