Imagine starting your day in a fully equipped lab, dialing in calibrated tooling and preparing medium‑voltage cable samples for a hands-on termination clinic. By mid‑morning, you’re guiding experienced electricians through lockout/tagout walkdowns and NFPA 70E applications. After lunch, you run scenario-based exercises that connect field execution, documentation quality, and commissioning outcomes—closing the day with targeted coaching and competency assessments.

About the role

We’re looking for a seasoned electrical professional to lead advanced, practice-heavy training for journeymen and experienced craft teams. Your focus: low‑voltage installation quality, motor and control wiring, switchgear and load centers, and medium‑voltage cable preparation, termination, maintenance, testing, and inspection—always with uncompromising attention to safety and first‑pass quality.

What you’ll do

• Deliver practical, task-based instruction aligned to mission-critical construction, safety, quality, and data center readiness.
• Facilitate learning in electrical safety, hazardous energy control, Lockout/Tagout, Human Performance, LV installation quality, inspection, and commissioning readiness.
• Lead immersive labs, field-relevant scenarios, equipment demonstrations, quality reviews, and practical exercises.
• Translate project standards, complex technical requirements, and procedures into clear, actionable training for experienced tradespeople.
• Assess competence through direct observation, scenario drills, documentation reviews, and hands-on skills evaluations.
• Provide precise coaching, feedback, and remediation to close skill gaps.
• Reinforce Human Performance behaviors: peer checks, three‑way communication, questioning attitude, procedure use and adherence, conservative decision-making, and Stop Work Authority.
• Coach craft and front‑line leaders on the link between field execution, documentation rigor, commissioning results, and long‑term reliability.
• Continuously refine materials using lessons learned, QA/QC findings, commissioning insights, and evolving workforce needs.
• Collaborate with safety, quality, commissioning, construction, and workforce leadership to stay aligned with project‑specific requirements.
• Maintain a professional, real‑world training environment that mirrors hyperscale data center expectations for safety, quality, and operational discipline.

Minimum qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive electrical construction, commissioning, or mission‑critical infrastructure experience with substantial field responsibility.
• Background in hyperscale data centers, mission‑critical facilities, semiconductor plants, advanced manufacturing, power generation, or similarly complex, high‑reliability settings.
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA 70E, Lockout/Tagout, hazardous energy control, and electrical safe work practices.
• Deep expertise in low‑voltage installation and termination: conductor preparation, torque verification, calibrated tooling, labeling, documentation, and inspection readiness.
• Working knowledge of medium‑voltage systems: cable prep, terminations, stress control, shielding, grounding, testing, and energization readiness.
• Experience with electrical QA/QC, inspections, non‑conformance identification, corrective action, turnover documentation, and first‑pass quality expectations.
• Familiarity with commissioning, startup, Method of Procedure reviews, point‑to‑point verification, continuity testing, test documentation, and energization readiness.
• Proven ability to lead hands‑on labs, demonstrations, field‑based scenarios, and competency assessments.
• Experience training, coaching, or leading journey‑level craft professionals, foremen, general foremen, supervisors, or construction leaders.
• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills to earn credibility with an experienced skilled‑trades audience.
• Demonstrated commitment to Human Performance principles.

Preferred credentials

• Journeyman or Master Electrician background (or equivalent documented craft experience).
• OSHA 30; OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 exposure where applicable.
• NFPA 70E training and demonstrated electrical safety expertise.
• Qualified Electrical Worker experience per employer/project/regulatory expectations.
• Electrical commissioning, QA/QC, startup, or energization experience.
• Direct hyperscale data center construction experience.
• Experience as a superintendent, general foreman, electrical commissioning professional, QA/QC leader, electrical training professional, or mission‑critical operations leader.
• Medium‑voltage cable termination or manufacturer‑specific training.
• NCCER instructor certification, apprenticeship or craft training experience, or equivalent adult technical education background.
• Train‑the‑trainer, Human Performance, or operational excellence facilitation experience.
