Are you dependable, friendly, and comfortable staying busy? We're looking for a Meat Clerk to join our team at the New Castle Farmers Market.This is a hands-on position where you'll help keep our meat stand stocked, organized, and ready to serve our customers. You'll work alongside an experienced team, learn about our products, and help provide the friendly service and quality Stoltzfus Meats is known for.No meat department experience? That's okay! We're happy to train someone who is dependable, willing to learn, and enjoys working as part of a team.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide friendly, helpful, and efficient customer servicePackage, weigh, label, price, and stock fresh meat productsMaintain clean, organized, attractive, and well-stocked display casesRotate inventory using FIFO practicesMonitor product quality, freshness, and appearanceAssist with basic meat preparation tasks as trained and permittedFollow all food safety, sanitation, and company proceduresClean equipment, preparation areas, counters, scales, display cases, and other work surfacesAssist with receiving, organizing, and stocking deliveriesComplete assigned opening and closing responsibilitiesSupport meat cutters, coworkers, and department leadership as neededHelp maintain an efficient and organized work area throughout the dayQualificationsMust be at least 16 years of ageMust be available to work SaturdaysAbility to work the scheduled shift through closing when assignedCustomer service experience preferredGrocery, food service, retail, or meat department experience helpful but not requiredAbility to follow food safety and sanitation proceduresStrong attention to detail and organizationDependable, punctual, and team- orientedComfortable working in a fast-paced customer service environmentWillingness to learn basic meat department skills and proceduresPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and remain active for extended periodsFrequent lifting of up to 40 lbs.Occasional lifting of up to 60 lbs.Ability to work comfortably in refrigerated and cooler environmentsAbility to safely perform assigned food preparation and department tasks using approved equipment, with training providedEqual Opportunity Employer:Stoltzfus Meats is an equal opportunity employer.
