Senior Tax Accountant Ventura County , CA Direct Hire Tax $95K to $113K 08/20/2026 Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $95,000 to $113,000 per year. Job Responsibilities: Prepare and review tax filings, compliance reports, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate and timely reporting across multiple jurisdictions. Perform tax reconciliations, fixed asset analyses, and depreciation calculations while maintaining detailed supporting documentation. Assist with tax audits by gathering records, responding to inquiries, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Research tax related issues, identify discrepancies, and support the proper application of tax regulations and reporting requirements. Partner with accounting, finance, and technology teams to improve tax processes, reporting capabilities, and system efficiency. Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. 3+ years of corporate tax, public accounting, or related tax compliance experience. Previous experience with federal, state, and international income tax reporting and compliance activities. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with tax preparation or financial systems. Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and compliance in a fast paced environment. Qualifications: Previous public accounting experience. CPA designation is preferred but not required. Knowledge of tax accounting standards, including ASC 740. Prior experience with tax software, ERP systems, fixed asset applications, and business intelligence tools. Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
