Wilmington-based special events company is looking for strong, dependable, hands-on individuals to join our production team. This is a physical, active, hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with their hands, moving equipment, driving, building, installing, and working as part of a crew.

You’ll be responsible for loading trucks, transporting event equipment, setting up large furnishings and structures, installing lighting, and draping, and breaking everything down after events. This is not a desk job—you’ll be on your feet, moving equipment and working on-site at events throughout the Wilmington area.

The ideal candidate is someone who is hardworking, dependable, and comfortable working with tools, equipment, ladders, and heavy items. Experience in construction, moving, landscaping, warehouse work, delivery, stage/event production, carpentry, electrical/lighting, or other hands-on trades is a plus.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Load and unload trucks with event equipment, furniture, décor, and rental items
• Deliver and transport event-related equipment to venues
• Set up and break down special events
• Build and install large furnishings including bar structures, lounge areas, tables, chairs, and other event installations
• Install lighting and draping, including working from ladders up to 16 feet
• Use hand tools and equipment to assemble, install, repair, and maintain event items
• Clean, paint, stain, repair, and prepare rental items for upcoming events
• Organize and maintain a clean, efficient warehouse
• Return equipment and rental items to their designated locations after events
• Work efficiently as part of a production crew while also being capable of completing tasks independently

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Strong and physically capable — must be able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
• Comfortable bending, lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, and standing/walking for 8+ hours
• Dependable and punctual
• Strong, clear communication skills
• Able to work independently without supervision
• Comfortable working with tools, equipment, trucks, and large furnishings
• Safety-conscious and willing to follow instructions
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Box truck or larger vehicle driving experience is preferred

SCHEDULE

Multiple part-time, seasonal full-time, and contract positions are available.

Work is primarily Friday-Sunday, nights, weekends, and during the busy event season.

Some weekends can involve long days and split shifts, as we frequently service multiple events in a single day or weekend. Flexibility and availability during our busiest periods are important.

PAY & POSITION DETAILS

$17.00-$19.00 per hour

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

You will be paid as an independent contractor and receive a 1099 at the end of the year.

Work Location: In person

Available to start immediately is preferred.
