Position Summary 1st Shift: Hours 6:00AM – 2:30PM, Monday through Friday. This position is responsible for providing facility and mechanical maintenance leadership to the maintenance & mechanical team at the assigned location. It manages staffing to provide full‑time maintenance and mechanical support for all shifts, oversees procurement of goods and services, maintains spare parts inventory, and develops a maintenance and replacement strategy that aligns with the annual budget and capital plans. Position Responsibilities Manage the mechanical and maintenance staff, including interviewing and hiring new hires, approving time and absences, and completing performance appraisals. Provide training to all staff members of this department on all types of equipment in the facility, including coordinating external training sessions and developing internal training classes. Create and execute a preventive maintenance strategy to ensure equipment and infrastructure components are scheduled for maintenance and replacement. Manage the maintenance of facility infrastructure, including building structure, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, parking area, fire protection system, and security system. Ensure that infrastructure is maintained in the best possible shape to support operations. Oversee the maintenance of all operational equipment such as conveyors, MHE (forklifts and lift trucks), and sewing equipment. Develop, manage, and implement a preventive maintenance program for all equipment and infrastructure, ensuring execution each year. Supervise maintenance of customization equipment, including sewing machines, embroidery machines, heat seal machines, autobaggers with lifts, Direct to Film equipment, and conveyors. Maintain parts inventory for the facility, setting minimums to trigger purchases and managing overall inventory levels to reduce financial impact. Manage contractors as needed for services such as lawn care, sprinkler maintenance, plumbing and electrical repairs, elevator maintenance, roof repairs, HVAC maintenance, and more. Build and maintain strong working relationships with partnering service companies. Collaborate with engineering, outside contractors, and facility management on special projects and installations. Be on call for facility issues, including security system alarms and gate issues. Support regional moves and maintenance questions from regional distribution centers. Perform other duties as assigned or that arise. Position Requirements Technical degree required; a bachelor’s degree is a plus. Minimum of 5+ years of maintenance & mechanical management/leadership experience. Knowledge of industrial distribution and sewing equipment maintenance required. Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Proven leadership experience is a must.
