Higgs Fletcher & Mack LLP, one of San Diego’s oldest and most prestigious law firms, seeks an experienced litigation Associate Attorney to join the Firm’s Family Litigation Practice Group. Our ideal candidate will possess one to five years' experience within the Family Litigation practice area.

Job Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Assist supervising attorney in management of family law cases
\n
• Draft letters, pleadings, financial disclosures, mediation briefs, and trial briefs
\n
• Propound and respond to discovery, prepare meet and confer letters, and prepare motions to compel
\n
• Prepare deposition outlines and exhibits
\n
• Defend and take depositions
\n
• Prepare witness questions for evidentiary hearings and trial
\n
• Conduct legal research and prepare memorandums
\n
• Prepare for and attend ex parte hearings, RFO hearings, and other matters
\n
• Routine client contact
\n
• Ability to handle matters from inception to conclusion
\n
• Track billable time
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Must be admitted to and in good standing with the California bar
\n
• 5+ years of family law attorney experience
\n
• Strong analytical skills and oral communication skills
\n
• Excellent writing skills
\n
• Attention to detail and accurate work product is a must
\n
• Ability and desire to meet deadlines
\n
• Highly motivated professional with a positive, team player attitude
\n

Job Type: Full-time

\n

Anticipated base salary: $135,000-$180,000 (DOE)+ BONUS
