Details NICU (Level 3/4 ICN) hospital setting Patient ratios of 1:2-4 Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45-07:15), 36 hours per week No call requirements Float requirement to Peds/PICU/nursery caring for infants up to and including 12 months Weekend requirement of 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays over a 6-week period Self-scheduling per unit needs Contracts accepted for 13 weeks Uses EPIC EMR, Pyxis, SBAR, and 4P systems Requirements Active RN license (NC or Compact) Current BLS and NRP certifications required Minimum 3 years of experience in a Level 3 or 4 ICN/NICU required Ventilator management experience required Experience with high-risk deliveries, UAC/UVC, central line care, and gavage feedings preferred Experience with therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide therapy, and dysrhythmia interpretation preferred EPIC charting experience preferred Additional Information Care for a diverse NICU patient population including premature infants as young as 22 weeks, surgical infants, and infants with hypoxic injury Perform specialized procedures including Tecotherm, BCPAP, Ram NC, HFOV, and use of Servo Vents, Alaris IV pumps, Baby Leo, and Giraffe warmers 24 hours of unit orientation provided Scrubs must be navy blue or white First-time travelers are welcome to apply Travel pairs are allowed if on different units and disclosed at submission Must work 2 of 3 major holidays Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved as long as it does not fall on a holiday, with additional time requiring facility approval No RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a lower rate Previous Novant Health or New Hanover PERM/PRN/EP employees must wait 12 months before reapplying, with facility approval required American Traveler Job ID P-746391.
