Structural Welders

Location: Shelbyville, KY
Project Duration: 10 weeks/2.5 months
Pay Rate: $30/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: 40 Hours per Week

Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Structural Mig and Stick welders for a shop job Shelbyville, KY. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, and performing welds using Mig and/or Stick welding process.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication plans
• Fit and assemble structural steel components according to specifications
• Perform Mig and/or Stick welding to secure assemblies
• Verify measurements, alignments, and tolerances for accuracy
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Work effectively with team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Structural Welder in a shop
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
• Experience using common fabrication tools and measuring equipment
• Must possess a 25-foot tape measure and needle-nose pliers
• Ability to work overtime and maintain reliable attendance
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including drug testing and background check
• Reliable transportation
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
